How to create best horizontal navigation components?
Establish the link hierarchy. List the top-level destinations, any grouped items, and utility actions. Tell the AI which destination is active and how the navigation fits within your page or application.
Plan for limited width. Describe the desired spacing, menu treatment, and smaller-screen behavior. Ask for the most important destinations to remain easy to identify rather than simply shrinking every label.
Review the states. Compare default, active, and expanded menu appearances. Check long labels and keyboard access so the navigation remains clear beyond its initial screenshot.
